Due to some abuse I’m afraid we’ve had to restrict MUC/Conferencing rooms to users of this Jabber/XMPP server only.

As originally announced back in November we’ve found out today that Windows Messenger will be turned off March 15th. We will continue to run the MSN transport until such time as the servers stop working.
The service was down overnight due to a server overloading. We’re investigating this to make sure it does not happen again. All services are now up and available again.
There will some downtime of an estimated duration of two hours later this evening. This is because the Jabber server is being migrated to updated hardware. The server was suffering from a chronic shortage of memory so I took the opportunity to perform security updates on the server. The service was running since March and so hasn’t performed too badly. Hope to upgrade to new hardware soon which means increased memory allowance.
