Server migration
The Jabber/XMPP server has now been migrated to a new host. There should have been minimal (<5min) interruption as it moved to the new host. The previous server had been getting a bit unreliable due to its age.

The server crashed yesterday which took down the XMPP service. Once the server was restarted and service resumed I’m afraid we didn’t notice a crash in the database which powers it. We have now fixed the database and the server is back up and working again as normal.
[22:00] This work has finished and there should be no further interruptions this evening. There will be some server interruptions on and off this evening as work is ongoing on the backend SQL server.
The IP address of the server is changing over the next few days. There should only be a brief downtime at some point during the switch over with only a short interruption to services.
