DNS Issues
We experienced some DNS issues this morning which meant that users were unable to contact other off-site Jabber/XMPP contacts. This has now been resolved and should be working.

I’m afraid the server died early Sunday morning and attempts to get it working did not succeed. The machine has been rebuild and Jabber services have been resumed. Configuration has been restored and no data should have been lost.

Ejabberd crashed at some point around 1am GMT last night and it’s not been restarted along with the transports.

It seems that the MSN Transport seems to have stopped working down to a client version bug. It’s been fixed and you should be able to run it again.

The Jabber service decided to enter some limbo state this morning and so I restarted it. I had a couple of reports of port 443 (SSL) not working and so restarted that also. All should be working once again.
